Safeguarding
At Greenmount Primary we firmly believe that school should be a happy and enjoyable experience for your child. The welfare of the children whilst at school is the concern of their class teacher, but overall care is the responsibility of the head teacher. If you hear of any concerns or anxieties from your child about any aspect of life at school, please tell us. Problems are often easier to deal with when they are in their infancy. If your child becomes unwell or is injured at school, we will contact you.
Our first priority is your child’s welfare. There may be occasions when our concerns about your child mean that we have to consult other agencies even before we contact you. The procedures we follow in such cases have been laid down by the Isle of Wight Safeguarding Children Board (IOWSCB) and are re-enforced by clear policies.
