Blended Learning

Blended Learning Information:

At Greenmount, we aim to deliver the highest-quality curriculum, so that our pupils know more and remember more. This means that everything we do to create the highest quality curriculum in school, must also align to our guiding principles for remote learning. We adopt a mixed model of asynchronous tasks, live lessons and pre-recorded lessons – all tailored to the needs of our children.

A mixed model of remote learning is considered more effective than using one method alone. Engagement increases when pupils feel part of the whole- school, whether they are working remotely, or in classrooms. Our teachers can also provide live feedback via Google Classroom in Key Stages 1 and 2. We hold virtual assemblies twice-weekly on-site, during which children share updates and work by presenting a class weekly report entitled ‘Greenmount News’, which is broadcast live in schools via smartboards. These are also opportunities to discuss our ‘Big Think’ questions, explore British Values and celebrate reading and achievement across the school.
