This week in Year 2
This week in Year 2 we have been and revising our 2, 5 and 10 times tables with games, practical resources, pictures and finally writing the correct number sentences to go with the representations.
In English, we are working towards writing class Alphabet books about the Isle of Wight and all the things that you can do on the Island. Each child has been given a letter and a place to write about from Appley Beach to the Zoo and we hope to share these during a virtual assembly once complete.
Linked to our Great Fire of London topic, we have begun to look at the structure of Tudor houses, why they burned so quickly during the Great Fire and how buildings changed in the years following this catastrophic event.
We were very excited to decorate the classrooms on Friday for Christmas decorating afternoon. Although we missed having our Greenmount families with us to join in the fun.
