This Week in Year 2…
Year Two have concluded their Instructions writing for ‘How to wash a pre-historic animal’. We have really enjoyed this learning journey, and everyone in Year 2 has made amazing progress with their writing so far this year.
In Maths, we have started learning about time, measurement and weight. It would be really useful for you to support your child to learn to tell the analogue time, with o’clock, half past, quarter past and quarter to as their focus.
We have also been learning about famous explorers from the Americas to Space with Christopher Columbus and now Neil Armstrong. We have done some exploring ourselves, looking for animals living in different habitats within the school grounds for our Science learning. Finally, we have worked on a group artwork of a wonderful river, which twists through city, countryside, jungle, coastal and ocean habitats.
We welcome you to come in and see the children’s work at any time after school if you would like to read their fantastically inventive instructions or see their fabulous artwork.
