Year 5 – Ayres – Miss Joyce

Welcome to Ayres class.

As this is the penultimate year of your primary school experience, the year 5 team will be working hard to make sure you are adequately equipped with all the knowledge you need to be ready for your final year at Greenmount and beyond.

Miss Joyce – Class Teacher
Miss Wheatley – Teaching assistant
Mrs Horne – Special Needs assistant

Ayres has P.E. twice a week on Wednesday morning (run by Mr Harris) and Thursday afternoon. Please make sure you have all of the equipment required for P.E. and appropriate footwear on those

Sent out – Thursday
Due in – Tuesday
Homework is set every week on a Thursday and is due in on a Tuesday, giving you 5 days to practise your spellings, read your reading book and practise your times tables, as well as completing a maths challenge. Children mark their own homework every week in class so that we can support any misconceptions that may arise.

Reading record books should be brought into class every morning by the children so we can issue new books and listen to them read.
