After School Club
The After School Club runs during school term time each afternoon between the end of the school day and 6.00 pm, and caters for children who attend Greenmount Primary School and Greenmount Pre School only.
Children attending the club must be collected from school at the end of each session by a responsible adult.
The club offers all children a snack and drink upon arrival and a range of activities designed to provide a settled but stimulating end to their school day. There will be opportunities to read, complete homework and access computers if the children wish to do so.
There are 32 places available at the club each day. Parents/Carers must book places 24 hours in advance, and must give 24 hours notice if a place is no longer needed. To book or cancel a place, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. If a child is ill on any particular day, the school will inform the clubs co-ordinator of his/her absence.
There is a fee, currently of £6.00 per session, for After School Club provision. This is payable on ParentPay and covers the cost of a hot snack, sandwiches, fruit/cake and a drink. Payment should be made at the beginning of each week. If a child misses a session through illness, money can be carried over to the following week/session. If no notice is received parents will be charged for the missed session. Late collection will also incur a charge.
The governing body of the school is responsible for the club, and the provision is under constant review.
The governors and club staff reserve the right to refuse to take children who are either unhappy being left at the club, or whose behaviour is unacceptable. Concerns will, of course, be discussed with parents/carers before any decision is made.
The After School staff is run by the co-ordinator Miss Jenny Wengenmair with assistants Mrs Emma Miller and Miss Ruth Roper.
After School Club’s direct number is 01983 568846.
